Señorita Cometa is a brand new musical project that brings together some of Venezuela’s top musicians: Claudio Leoni on drums, Daniel Alejandro Romero on Bass, Leonardo «Iguana» Gil on Keyboards and Guitar and Pedro Juarez on Keyboards along with the enchanting and hypnotic voice of Daniella Morales.
In many ocassions in the past, this bunch shared the stage with their different musical projects and the feeling they shared during these shows led them to pursue the possibility of performing together and creating their own experimental sound based on their previous influences.
Between creative meetings and rehearsals, a musical path started to emerge: experimental sounds and open formulas that roam around soul, funk, rock, trip hop… all with a very clear sense: «be what we want to listen to, teach people to listen to music created with the brain that’s easy enough to digest and listen to in any occasion: driving, chilling, working, traveling, meditating, with the addition that it might generate inteligent conversations around it… music for people who really may stop and enjoy it with every detail.
Their first single is called AIRE (air), its a pop song, produced by Claudio Leoni and Diego Márquez and recorded by Márquez, one of Venezuela’s most renowned sound engeneer and former drummer for Zapato 3. All the composing and arrangement was made by Señorita Cometa.
Also available now, are two live session videos from their songs BELOW and MAD MAN, the first one with a Soul Pop groove and the later, a bit more electronic and experimental. Both produced and recorded by Marquez and Leoni with arrangement and composing by the band as a whole. The live videos were shot by awarded venezuelan production company AH! and directed by Carlos Malone.
